Have you ever prayed for something and just felt God wasn’t hearing you? I have felt this many times, but have been reminded every single time that He does hear us and He will answer every prayer in His perfect timing.
It’s been on my heart recently just how many prayers God has answered of mine. Even the littlest things… He heard and answered them in His timing. Something as simple as praying for peace in my new routine or as big as prayers for Olly’s health as he deals with ongoing seizures. He has answered, shown me a way, and continues to answer time after time.
There’s one example of answered prayer that I didn’t realize I was living in until I took some time to think. When I was a little girl I used to always ask my mom for a sibling, specifically a little brother. As an only child that is allllll I ever wanted. A friend to play with, hang out with, and confide in. It wasn’t until a few months ago I realized God answered my prayer. No, I don't have a blood sibling, but I have inherited a lot of siblings through marrying my husband. I have little brothers, a big brother, and even a sister in law! I never knew how much having an older sister in my life would help me and bring me so much joy. He answered my prayer over 10 years later, and He gave me more than I could’ve ever imagined!! I am so thankful for that!!
There’s a few verses and even songs that have been replaying in my head as I am in a season of praying and asking God to provide some guidance and show me where He wants me to be. I may not fully know the answer now, but I do know He will provide the asnwer when the timing is right.

I hope you take some time to think about the day to day life you are currently living, and try to see some answered prayers that God has provided that maybe you didn’t even realize! Things like my home, my friends, Olly’s health, my growing art business, a close-knit family I’m with every weekend, and even more are prayers God has answered for me that I am currently living! It gives me a new sense of gratitude for the day to day, and I hope it does for you too!
